The main objective of the project is to conceive, design, and realize an innovative service-based and holistic ecosystem to extend “the communication infrastructure into a sustainable, interconnected, greener end-to-end intercomputer system” and promote energy efficiency across the whole 5/6G value-chain.
We are in charge of leading WP3, on the design and implementation of the Service Based Architecture, and more concretely leading a task on Cognitive and Scalable Automated Slice operations.
This project is interesting for Atos because it plans to evolve current solutions of networks monitoring solutions in 5G, e.g., NWDAF (Network Analytics Function of 3GPP) with carbon footprint metrics in order to improve control and observability regarding energy metrics.
